History-sheeters advised to forego criminal activities

Trichy: Trichy district police organised an attendance parade of 364 history-sheeters at the district armed reserve police ground here on Sunday. Senior officials instructed the offenders to refrain from criminal activities and take better care of their families. Superintendent of police S Selvanagarathinam inspected the assembly around noon and addressed the offenders sub-division wise. He advised them to reform their behaviour, stay away from criminal activities, and focus on their families and children. He warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone who gets involved in criminal activities in the future. Police officials stated that such parades would be conducted regularly to bring positive change among habitual offenders. The history-sheeters attendance parade is the first of its kind to be held in Trichy district, a police officer said.
