Daytime train service between Trichy and Tirupati approved

Trichy: Union railway ministry has approved a new daytime train service between Trichy and Tirupati, fulfilling a long-pending demand of passengers from central Tamil Nadu. The new service is expected to significantly improve connectivity, boost tourism and trade, and offer convenient travel options for thousands of passengers.As per the new arrangement, the existing train running between Guntur and Tirupati will be extended up to Trichy, establishing a direct Trichy–Guntur–Tirupati route.The new service is expected to greatly benefit devotees travelling to Tirupati, students, businessmen, and the general public in the central districts of Tamil Nadu.Welcoming the development, Trichy MP Durai Vaiko described it as a significant measure for the region. Durai Vaiko thanked the railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, senior officials of Southern Railway and the Trichy railway division for their positive response.
