2 dead as car plunges into 150-foot-deep gorge in Himachal Pradesh

Two men died after their car fell into a 150-foot gorge and caught fire on the Bharwain-Hoshiarpur road in Una district. The occupants, returning from Chintpurni temple, were charred to death. In a separate incident, over a dozen Delhi devotees were injured when their mini-van rolled off the road in Bilaspur district.

IMD issues orange alert for hailstorms, thunderstorms in Himachal Pradesh till April 29

Himachal Pradesh is bracing for severe weather as the Shimla Met Office has issued an orange alert for hailstorms, thunderstorms, and gusty winds on Tuesday and Wednesday. A wet spell is anticipated across the state until May 3, following a period of dry weather and a heatwave in some areas.

Six tourists from Gujarat tragically lost their lives and four others were injured when their tempo traveller veered off the Lohru–Dalhousie road and plunged into a deep gorge in Chamba district. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, leading to the fatal accident. This marks the second significant tempo traveller incident in Himachal Pradesh this month.
