SOLAN: A blast was reported near the Nalagarh police station in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district on Thursday morning around 9.40am, triggering panic in the area and causing damage, shattering glasses of nearby buildings, Baddi SP Vinod Dhiman said. The explosion was loud enough to be heard several 35-40ft away, residents said, sending people rushing out of shops and roadside stalls in fear. Migrant workers and local residents told police that the blast echoed across the neighborhood, leaving many shocked and confused.Some buildings near the site reportedly suffered minor structural damage. Following the incident, police immediately sealed off the area and restricted movement as a precautionary measure. A forensic team was rushed to the spot to examine the scene and collect evidence, while senior police officers began an investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. Authorities said no injuries have been reported so far.
