During the video, the unidentified man accused Nick Shirley of harming the Somali community. He said the video was being used by hateful people online. He told Shirley, “This absolutely has to do with us being Muslim and us being from Africa.” He also claimed online comments showed calls to remove Muslims from Minnesota and warned, “You are preparing for the Somali community to maybe be taken to concentration camps.”Nick Shirley rejected that claim clearly. He responded, “This has nothing to do with race. This is fraud.” When accused of making the issue bigger than it is, Shirley repeated, “This is fraud. You are defending fraud.”After the video went viral, Shirley appeared on Fox News. He spoke about comments made by Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. He claimed the state allowed fraud to continue and said leaders were chasing votes.
