Garhwa Accident: Motorcycle Hit by Sand Tractor Kills Uncle and Nephew on NH-39

Garhwa: A maternal uncle and nephew were killed on Sunday when their motorcycle was hit by a speeding sand-laden tractor near the toll plaza at Hoor village on the Garhwa-Daltonganj stretch of NH-39 under Garhwa police station limits.The deceased were identified as Uday Pal, 25, and Ankaj Pal, 22. Uday was headed to Vishakhapatnam for work and Ankaj was dropping him at Garhwa Road junction in Palamu to catch a train. “Uday Pal died on the spot while Ankaj Pal died on way to the hospital,” a police official said. Locals alleged illegal sand tractors and rash driving cause frequent accidents.
