60-year-old stabs wife to death in Dumka

Dumka: A 60-year-old man allegedly stabbed his 53-year-old wife to death in Badlachak village under Meharma police station limits in Godda district late on Wednesday. The deceased, identified as Ruby Devi, died on the way to a hospital. Her husband Kishan Das fled from the Meherma community health centre where Ruby was declared dead on arrival. Family members said Kishan and Ruby had an argument which turned violent. In a fit of rage, Kishan stabbed Ruby multiple times. The couple's grandson informed the rest of the family members. Saurabh Kumar Thakur, the officer-in-charge of Meherma police station, said, "The weapon was recovered on Thursday."
