1 killed, 3 injured after SUV overturns in Jamtara
Patna, April 27 (IANS) A tragic road accident in Bihar’s Saran district claimed the lives of three people and left four others critically injured after a speeding SUV rammed into an auto-rickshaw.
Dumka: A youth was killed, and three were injured after an SUV carrying them overturned late in the early hours of Saturday near Mirga village in Narayanpur police station area of Jamtara district.The passengers of the SUV were residents of Dargah Tola in Narodih village and had gone to Champapur village to attend a wedding. While returning at around 1 am, the vehicle reportedly went out of control and overturned near Mirga village. All the passengers were injured in the accident and were taken to a private hospital in Narayanpur with the help of local residents.“Doctors there declared 18-year-old Miraj Ansari dead on arrival. The injured, Irfan Ansari (18), Khalil Ansari (19) and Idu Mian (35), were later referred to Dhanbad for advanced treatment due to their critical condition,” said a police officer from Narayanpur police station.The officer added that the body was handed over to the family after post-mortem examination at Jamtara Sadar Hospital on Saturday.Family members said Miraj was the only son of his parents.
