Patna: St Karen’s High School organised its investiture ceremony, formally inducting the newly elected Student Council for the 2026–27 academic session.The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolising the pursuit of knowledge. The school choir presented a welcome song, setting a dignified tone. Founder DP Galstaun urged students to uphold the values of integrity, discipline and responsibility.A disciplined march-past was followed by a presentation on the “Seven Characteristics of a Karenite,” highlighting the institution’s core ethos.The ceremony’s highlight was the pinning of badges, officially conferring responsibilities on the new council members. Head Boy Kartik Agarwal and Head Girl Aagya delivered speeches expressing gratitude and reaffirming their commitment. Principal Seema Singh administered the oath, with members pledging sincerity and dedication.Chief Guest Manavjit Singh Dhillon, DIG, Economic Offences Unit, Bihar Police, encouraged students to strive for excellence, innovation and national service.AN College drive: AN College organised a cleanliness and tree plantation drive under its Green Initiative to promote a cleaner and environmentally friendly campus.
The long-neglected dumping yard between Satyendra Bhawan and Biotechnology Bhawan was cleared as part of the drive. Teachers and staff also planted four Bel (Aegle marmelos) saplings.Principal Prof Shailesh Kumar Singh stressed that environmental protection is a collective responsibility and highlighted the medicinal and cultural importance of the Bel tree.Football tournament: The two-day Inter APS Boys (U-15) Football Tournament (Cluster 2, Central Command) concluded at Kalinga Stadium, BRC Danapur Cantt. The event was hosted by Army Public School (APS) Danapur Cantt.Three teams—APS Danapur Cantt, APS Ramgarh and APS Ayodhya—participated. APS Danapur Cantt defeated APS Ramgarh 6-0 and APS Ayodhya 1-0, while APS Ayodhya beat APS Ramgarh 4-0.APS Danapur Cantt emerged champions, with APS Ayodhya finishing runners-up. Mohammad Abid of APS Danapur Cantt was named Player of the Tournament.Brigadier RK Borah, Commandant, Bihar Regimental Centre and Chairman of APS Danapur Cantt, distributed prizes and praised players for their performance and sportsmanship.
