Govt plans CISF training centre in Kishanganj
Patna: The state govt has directed the revenue and land reforms department (RLRD) to expedite the acquisition of 100 acres in Kishanganj’s Pothia circle for setting up a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) regional training centre (RTC) to strengthen the country’s security apparatus.Deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary said on Thursday that necessary instructions had been issued to fast-track the process. In a social media post, he thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union home minister Amit Shah for the decision, saying it would address security concerns in Bihar and beyond.The proposed RTC will train around 1,000 CISF personnel. Choudhary said the centre would bolster security arrangements in both the state and the country and termed the move an “important decision”.He added that the project would also generate local employment and support economic growth in the region.
