MUMBAI: City's day temperatures continued to stay high as the
IMD Santacruz observatory on Sunday recorded maximum temperatures of 37.2 degrees. This was the highest day temperatures recorded for the year so far. Maximum temperatures had started rising from last week itself with IMD Santacruz observatory on March 3 recording maximum temperatures of 37.1 degrees.
The IMD has forecast that in the next 24 hours will see mainly clear skies with maximum and minimum temperatures will be around 36 degrees and 23 degrees respectively.
The IMD Santacruz observatory on Sunday recorded maximum temperatures of 37.2 degrees which was 4.3 degrees above normal while the IMD Colaba observatory recorded maximum temperatures of 32.6 degrees which was 1.3 degrees above normal.
Weathermen said that the night temperatures are also warming up. The minimum temperatures meanwhile recorded by the IMD Colaba and Santacruz observatory was 22 degrees and 20 degrees which was 1.7 degrees and two degrees above normal. The relative humidity recorded by the IMD Colaba and Santacruz observatory was 76% and 45% respectively.
