History is being written on the high seas! For the first time, 10 women officers of India’s Army, Navy, and Air Force have embarked on a daring global circumnavigation aboard IASV Triveni. Flagged off by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the Samudri Pradakshina mission covers 21,600 nautical miles, crossing the equator twice, navigating Cape Leeuwin, Cape Horn, and the Cape of Good Hope. Trained for over two years, the officers mastered navigation, fatigue management, diving, and storm survival. They now face the mighty Drake Passage—one of the world’s most dangerous waters. Beyond a military feat, this voyage showcases India’s Nari Shakti to the world, carrying a message of courage, diplomacy, and unity. Watch how these women warriors conquer the oceans.
