"It was a crazy experience"- Bronny James reflects on historic NBA debut alongside father LeBron

NBA icon LeBron James and his son, Bronny James, became the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA on October 22, 2024. During the Los Angeles Lakers' victory over their opponent, Bronny performed well in his debut. Now, the junior James recently talked about playing with his father during his NBA debut. He acknowledged that he had just been playing for four months in an interview with golfer Grant Horvat. More than 11 months have passed since LeBron and Bronny James first played together for the L.A. Lakers. That marked the beginning of his professional career. Now recently, he shared his own take on the situation. The 20-year-old Lakers player appeared on the most recent episode of Grant Horvat’s show and discussed the experience. The young athlete was also questioned about his first NBA game, which he played with his father. While discussing the same, Bronny explained:“It was nuts. It was crazy…. It was a crazy experience to be a part of. The nervousness, it was out of the room”. When asked if he was nervous or something, Bronny replied: “Um, I wasn’t shaking, but I mean, I was ready to go out and play, but it’s different when your dad’s on the team. You got expectations. The Lakers, the franchise has expectations.. I’m a basketball head. So, it was fun to just be out there and step on an NBA court for the first time was crazy”.Following in his father’s footsteps, Bronny played a few rounds of golf alongside Horvat, answering the host’s questions while they drove a golf cart between locations.Bronny James, the son of LeBron James, made his first appearance on the court as a starter for the Los Angeles Lakers. At the Thomas & Mack Centre in Las Vegas, the Los Angeles Lakers played the Minnesota Timberwolves. In the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft, the Lakers selected Bronny with the 55th choice. As a result of the transfer, LeBron and Bronny became first father-son duo to play together in the NBA.In his first game, in front of an enthusiastic audience, the NBA legend’s son took the court. He contributed 11 minutes to the Lakers' convincing victory over the Timberwolves. It was one of the weekend's most viewed games. Bronny got one steal, two rebounds, and ten points.
