Mangaluru: Just as devotees are drawn to temples, mosques, and churches, a university, too, can be seen as a space of learning and reverence. With this thought, vice-chancellor Prof PL Dharma said a new initiative titled ‘Our Walk Towards Mangalore University' has been conceptualised to familiarise students from various colleges with the university's facilities and environment.
At the launch of the initiative during the release of the Swastik National Business School newsletter and an interaction with students at the VC's residence, Prof Dharma said the school had held its NSS camp on the university campus and carried out several planned activities. Through this, students observed departments, laboratories, research centres, the library, the botanical garden, and other facilities. He said this experience inspired the new initiative, which aims to encourage students from other colleges to visit and engage with the campus.
