Man hacked to death in Tirunelveli, two arrested

Tirunelveli: A 35-year-old man was murdered by his wife's relatives due to a long-standing dispute in Tirunelveli district on Tuesday.The deceased, identified as Pooludayar, a native of Kadamboduvalvu village, was residing in Thyagaraja Nagar.On Tuesday evening he was hacked to death with a sickle by two men related to his wife, at Kadamboduvalvu village. Upon information, police rushed to the spot and sent the body to Tirunelveli Government Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Forensic experts reached the spot and collected evidence.The Kalakad police arrested Arunachala Raja, 30, and Ram, 29, in connection with the incident.Police have recovered the murder weapon used in the crime. They are also probing the involvement of others.
