Lucknow:
BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh on Saturday said UP has witnessed a major transformation in govt recruitment and youth empowerment under chief minister
Yogi Adityanath, contrasting it with the alleged corruption and caste-based favouritism during the previous
Samajwadi Party govt.
In a statement, Singh said that before 2017, recruitment processes in the state were marred by recommendation-based selection, casteism and corruption. He alleged that over 600 recruitment drives conducted between 2012 and 2017 came under controversy, while around 45,000 posts faced scrutiny and more than 700 petitions seeking cancellation of recruitments and CBI probes were filed in courts.
Citing examples, he claimed serious irregularities were reported in the PCS-2011 recruitment process, alleging that 56 out of 86 selected SDMs belonged to a single caste group.
He said recruitment systems had now become transparent, technology-driven and accountable after 2017.
