Hyderabad: A man was allegedly killed by his friend at a construction site near Harihara Kala Bhavan in Secunderabad on Monday.
The deceased, identified as Pedda Narsimha, worked as a tiler along with Uttam, the suspect, at the construction site.
According to police, both men went to the building at around 9.30 pm with alcohol bottles and were believed to be partying on the terrace.
The incident came to light after the contractor informed the police about the death. When police arrived at the scene, they reportedly found alcohol bottles kept inside a cover on the terrace.
Based on preliminary findings, police suspect that Narsimha may have been attacked with a sharp weapon.
Officials said the victim suffered a serious head injury and that the impact could be the reason for the death.
However, the exact details will be confirmed after the forensic examination and postmortem report.
Officials added that Uttam does not have any previous criminal record.
The exact motive behind the incident will only be known after Uttam is traced and questioned. Further investigation is underway.
