Zoramthanga, Doval talks on geopolitical issues at Delhi meet

Aizawl: Former Mizoram CM and Mizo National Front (MNF) president Zoramthanga and national security adviser Ajit Kumar Doval held a meeting in New Delhi on Tuesday and discussed a wide range of issues, a media release of MNF said on Friday.The release said that Zoramthanga and Doval discussed geopolitical issues, including political developments in Myanmar and Bangladesh.Over 29,700 refugees from Myanmar and nearly 1,700 refugees from Bangladesh are taking shelter in Mizoram due to political turmoil in the two countries. They expressed regret that the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement signed between the Myanmar govt and the representatives of the ethnic armed organisations in early 2015 was not implemented as it could have brought permanent peace in the neighbouring countries.
