Addressing a gathering at the tea estate, Rai said under the leadership of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, the govt has focused on ensuring that essential health services reach even the most marginalised sections living in tea garden areas. He described the scheme as a people-centric intervention aimed at improving the quality of life of tea estate workers, who form the backbone of Assam’s tea economy.
