Panaji: Goa State Waste Management Corporation (GSWMC) will visit solid waste management plants operated by six companies that have submitted their bids for setting up a 100TPD (tonne per day) plant at Bainguinim.A GSWMC team will visit Chennai, Solapur and Ahmedabad from next month to check the functioning of the plants and whether they function as per Goa’s requirements for the project,” said a senior govt official .The six companies are Hyderabad Integrated MSW Ltd, Hindustan Waste Treatment Pvt Ltd, 3R Management Ltd, Srinivas Waste Management Services Pvt Ltd, Organic Recycling Systems Pvt Ltd, and HNB Engineers Pvt Ltd.The officer said that after the visit, all the companies will give presentations to the GSWMC about the technology that they will use to run the plant and answer their queries. “Once the companies qualify, they will be eligible for the financial bid, and thereafter the successful bidder will be declared,” he added.During the pre-bid meeting, five companies submitted the details of plants set up by them and raised some queries regarding the tender. State govt invited bids for the fourth time to set up the plant. The Rs 140-crore public-private partnership (PPP) project is on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer basis.
