Helicopter carrying Badrinath devotees hits power line, makes emergency landing in Tehri Gharwal
A private helicopter made an emergency landing on the Chamba–Arakot route
CHAMBA: A private helicopter operated by Trans Bharat Aviation made an emergency landing in the fields of the Satyo-Sakalana area on Wednesday morning after developing a technical issue while flying over the Chamba-Arakot region, police said. The Police Office, Tehri Garhwal district, informed news agency ANI that the aircraft was en route from Badrinath Dham to Dehradun when the pilot was forced to carry out a precautionary landing following the glitch. A total of six people, including the pilot, were on board the helicopter, and all are safe, officials confirmed.
According to police, during the flight the helicopter’s rear section was damaged after coming into contact with a high-tension power line, which contributed to the emergency situation.Preliminary investigations have confirmed that all passengers are safe, and no injuries have been reported. A detailed probe into the incident is being carried out by the concerned technical and aviation agencies.
