Mamata Escalates Attack, Says BJP Will Be Ousted From Power In Delhi After Bengal Poll Defeat

Following the West Bengal Assembly election defeat, Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee has intensified her attack on the BJP, stating that the BJP-led central government will be removed from power in Delhi in the coming days. The remarks were made during a meeting with TMC MLAs in Kolkata’s Kalighat area, where party leaders discussed the electoral setback and future strategy. TMC general secretary Abhishek Banerjee also reiterated that the party would continue its fight against the BJP despite the defeat, taking a defiant stance in his address. Meanwhile, the Trinamool Congress has approached the Calcutta High Court alleging post-poll violence across several districts, including incidents of arson, vandalism, and attacks on party workers. Both BJP and TMC have exchanged accusations over the violence, further escalating political tensions in West Bengal. The matter is now under judicial consideration, adding a legal dimension to the post-election developments.
