Saini campaigns for BJP candidate in Uklana
Hisar: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday campaigned in favour of BJP chairperson candidate Nikita Goyal for the Uklana municipal committee elections and addressed a series of public meetings in the town.The chief minister addressed gatherings where he appealed to the voters to support BJP candidates in the civic polls scheduled for May 10. Addressing the functions, Saini said the BJP govt fulfilled promises made to the people and claimed that 63 out of 217 commitments made by the state govt were already completed within one-and-a-half years. He said there was a strong wave in favour of the BJP across Haryana in the local body elections and expressed confidence that a "triple-engine govt" would be formed in Uklana after the polls, accelerating development works in the town. The chief minister highlighted various welfare schemes of the state govt, including recruitment of youths, Ayushman Bharat and Chirayu schemes, subsidised LPG cylinders for poor families and financial assistance schemes for women. He also spoke about housing schemes being implemented for economically weaker sections and said the govt was committed to the welfare of farmers, women, youths and poor families.
Saini assured residents that issues related to drinking water supply, underpasses and streets in Uklana would be addressed on priority. BJP Haryana president Mohan Lal Baroli also addressed the gatherings and appealed to the voters to ensure the victory of BJP candidate Nikita Goyal, stating that development works would gain momentum with a BJP-led civic body. Cabinet minister Krishan Bedi, MLA Vinod Bhayana and several party leaders and office-bearers were present during the campaign programmes.Caption of photo: CM and others during election campaign
