Pathanmajra remanded in police custody in illegal mining case

Patiala: The AAP MLA from Sanour, Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, was remanded in four-day police custody on Thursday in connection with an illegal mining case registered against him at Julkan police station in Patiala district. Police had arrested Pathanmajra in March after him being on the run for seven months in a rape case registered on Sept 1, 2025. Later, the police produced him in court on a production warrant and arrested him in the mining case.The illegal mining case was registered just four days after the rape case, on Sept 5, 2025. Pathanmajra's counsel, S S Saggu, said they will approach the Punjab and Haryana high court to seek regular bail in the rape case.
