Man gets 10-yr jail for sexually assaulting minor

Hisar: A local court sentenced a Barwala man to 10 years in prison and fined him Rs 50,000 for repeatedly sexually assaulting a minor girl after threatening to make her photos viral in a four-year-old case. The verdict was delivered by additional sessions judge Sunil Jindal, with six months' additional imprisonment in case of non-payment of the fine. The case dates back to June 17, 2022, when the girl's father reported that his daughter left home on June 16 without informing anyone. It was on the next day that he found her in Sector 13. On being asked, she confided in her family that accused Sanjay took her morphed obscene photos and threatened to circulate them online.
