BJP holds protest against Mann’s blast remarks

Amritsar: BJP leaders and workers on Saturday staged a protest against chief minister Bhagwant Mann over his alleged remarks linking the recent blasts in Amritsar and Jalandhar to the saffron party.BJP district president Harwinder Singh Sandhu said a memorandum was submitted to the police commissioner demanding registration of an FIR against the CM.He said the protest march was taken out from Rani Ka Bagh to the police commissioner's office. During the protest, a large number of BJP workers marched with flags and banners, raising slogans against the govt, he said, adding that after reaching the police commissioner's office, BJP leaders submitted a memorandum and demanded an impartial investigation into the statements made by Mann."Mann's attempt to link incidents such as bomb blasts occurring in Punjab with the BJP is extremely irresponsible and baseless," he said.
