Indore: Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation (MPIDC), the master developer of the PM Mega Integrated Textile Region and Apparel scheme ( PM MITRA) Park in Dhar has accelerated infrastructure development at the integrated textile park and set June 2027 as the target to complete all internal and external infrastructure work, as the state pushes to make the project operational for investors.
PM MITRA is Centre’s flagship initiative aimed at developing large-scale integrated textile parks with world-class infrastructure and plug-and-play facilities to strengthen India’s textile manufacturing ecosystem and improve global competitiveness.
MPIDC Indore executive director Himanshu Prajapati said that infrastructure development was being carried out simultaneously across multiple components to meet timelines. “Development works related to road, water and power infrastructure up to the park boundary are largely complete. Internal infrastructure works including land levelling, road construction and utility services are progressing in parallel with a focus on completing all major works by June 2027,” he said.
The progress was reviewed during a visit by Neelam Shami Rao, secretary, Union ministry of textiles on May 14, during which ongoing infrastructure works and preparedness at PM MITRA Park were assessed along with state agency officials.
Officials said the state govt has already spent around Rs 88 crore on external infrastructure development up to the park boundary, including road, water and power connectivity works. Another Rs 76 crore has been spent on internal infrastructure and mobilisation activities, including land levelling of industrial plots, roads and utility development.
Construction of over 10 km of roads, water treatment and supply systems, electrical works and substation development are among the key activities underway. Authorities are also working on logistics connectivity, skill development and support facilities to improve industrial readiness.
On Saturday, 24 families covered under PM MITRA Park project area were shifted to newly developed housing units as part of rehabilitation and resettlement process linked to the project.
