Bhopal: The sobering effect of the prevailing weather systems on the summer heat continued in Bhopal and other parts of the state on Tuesday.Overcast skies and blustery conditions due to the impact of multiple weather systems saw the maximum day temperatures at a majority of places drop below the 40-degree mark.The regional meteorological office also flagged the possibility of thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning, at several places in the state.The day temperature in Bhopal on Tuesday was recorded at 37.2°C, four degrees below normal, while the night temperature was at 21.4°C, also four degrees below normal.Khargone district was the hottest in MP on Tuesday, with the mercury settling at 42°C.Meanwhile, the Met forecast partly cloudy skies for Bhopal on Wednesday, with the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and light rain. The day and night temperature would range between 38 and 22 degrees, while the average wind speed would be 18kmph.A warning for thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning, hailstorms and gusty winds was issued for Khandwa, Khargone, Datia, Singrauli, Sidhi, Shahdol, Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh and Niwari districts.The Met also put out an alert for thunderstorms, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds for Bhopal, Vidisha, Raisen, Sehore, Rajgarh, Narmadapuram, Betul, Barwani, Dhar, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Bhind, Morena, Sheopur, Rewa, Mauganj, Satna, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Balaghat, Panna, Sagar, Maihar, Pandhurna, Harda, Burhanpur, Indore, Dewas, Shajapur, Anuppur, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Mandla and Damoh districts.
