Five arrested, jewellery worth Rs 12 L recovered

The Bagh Sewania police arrested five people and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 12 lakh in a case involving thefts from vacant houses. The accused were identified as Pradeep, Tanish, Nishant, Ravi and Sharad.Police said Pradeep, a scrap dealer, allegedly identified empty houses and coordinated with others to target them. Some stolen valuables were later sold to a jeweller, and have since been recovered.
