19-yr-old drowns in Bilkhiria Dam

A 19-year-old youth allegedly drowned in deep water at Ghoda Pachad Dam in Bilkhiria area on Monday afternoon while outing with friends. Another youth who also slipped into the deep water was rescued by a local fisherman and survived after being rushed to hospital. Bilkhiria police registered a case and started investigations into the incident.Police said the deceased, Ishu Dhurvey, 19, a resident of Aam Nagar in Bag Sewania area, worked in a private firm.According to police, the group ventured into the water while playing near the dam. During this, Ishu and his friend Vinay alias Vikas Salve allegedly slipped into deep water and began to drown.As their friends raised an alarm, a local fisherman present nearby jumped into the water and managed to rescue Vinay. Divers later recovered Ishu’s body from the dam.
