Xbox’s GTA 6 wishlist expanded to five more cities ahead of bigger rollout
Microsoft’s Xbox regional accounts across the Americas have started posting wishlist prompts for Grand Theft Auto VI, sparking fresh speculation that marketing activity around the highly anticipated game is increasing ahead of pre-orders and a wider promotional campaign. Over the past few days, Xbox accounts in Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Colombia shared similar GTA 6 wishlist messages on X (formerly Twitter), shortly after the main Xbox account posted about the game for the first time in nearly a year. The coordinated timing has drawn attention from gaming fans closely tracking updates related to Rockstar Games’ next major release.

According to the shared messages, users were encouraged to add GTA 6 to their Xbox wishlist. The activity has also fueled speculation that Rockstar Games and parent company Take-Two Interactive may be preparing for the next phase of marketing for GTA 6.Most of the recent Xbox posts targeted audiences in Latin America, one of the fastest-growing gaming markets globally. Bigger GTA 6 campaign may still be ahead

Despite the recent activity, the main marketing campaign for GTA 6 has not officially started yet. Rockstar has not released a third trailer for the game, and pre-orders have not opened. However, gaming observers say the latest wishlist campaigns, retail preparation and regional promotions suggest that groundwork for a larger international launch campaign is already underway across platforms and territories.

In another news, . Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick has suggested that GTA 6 developer Rockstar Games’ marketing campaign for the title is unlikely to begin before the official start of summer. His comments appear to push back against recent rumours claiming a new trailer could arrive before the end of May.Speaking to Variety, Zelnick said Rockstar plans to begin marketing GTA 6 during the summer period, which officially starts in late June. “So the next few weeks I don’t think it’ll be summertime yet, but when it’s summertime, Rockstar expects to start marketing ‘GTA 6,’” he said.
