HPSOS March 2026 results: The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board (HPBOSE), Dharamshala, has announced that the results of the Himachal Pradesh State Open School (HPSOS) examinations held in March 2026 have been declared on May 25, 2026, Board Chairman Dr Rajesh Sharma said. He confirmed that the declaration covers Class 8, Class 10 and Class 12 examinations conducted under the open schooling system.He further stated that the pass percentage for Class 8 stands at 61.06 per cent, Class 10 at 54.66 per cent, and Class 12 at 64.57 per cent, reflecting the overall performance of candidates across the three levels.Class wise pass percentage detailsAccording to the board, the Class 8 examination recorded 61.06 per cent pass results, while Class 10 recorded 54.66 per cent and Class 12 recorded 64.57 per cent, indicating varied performance across levels.Re-evaluation and re-checking processDr Rajesh Sharma stated that candidates of Class 10 and Class 12 may apply for re-evaluation, while students of Class 8, Class 10 and Class 12 are eligible for re-checking through HPSOS study centres via online mode, with applications accepted only through authorised centres, and the last date for submission fixed as June 10, 2026, with re-evaluation fee of Rs 1000 per subject and re-checking fee of Rs 800 per subject; re-evaluation will be allowed only for theory papers, excluding MCQ sections, and will require a minimum of 20 per cent marks in the subject.
Improvement and re-appear application scheduleThe board said that candidates whose results are declared as Re-appear or Pass and who wish to apply for Re-appear or Improvement Examination (within 1 year) for the September 2026 session may submit applications through their respective HPSOS study centres. The application window without late fee will remain open from June 5, 2026 to June 30, 2026, while applications with a late fee of Rs 1000 will be accepted from July 1, 2026 to July 13, 2026, and no extension will be granted beyond the stipulated dates.Result access and contact informationCandidates may access their examination results on the official website of the board. For any information related to the results, candidates may contact the board office during office hours on the designated telephone numbers provided by HPBOSE.The board reiterated that no extension of deadlines will be granted under any circumstances and advised students to follow instructions issued through authorised HPSOS study centres strictly without exception thereafter.
