Mumbai megablock today: Central Railway announces train diversions, delays on Main, Harbour Lines
MUMBAI: Central Railway’s Mumbai division will operate a megablock on its suburban sections today to carry out various engineering and maintenance works. There will be no megablocks on the Western Railway suburban section. On the Main Line, the block will be carried out on the Matunga–Mulund slow lines from 11.05 am to 3.55 pm. Up slow line services departing from Thane between 11.07 am and 3.51 pm will be diverted to the Up fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations. These trains will halt at Mulund, Bhandup, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Kurla and Sion stations before being re-diverted to the Up slow line at Matunga station. Services are expected to reach their destinations around 15 minutes behind schedule. During the block period, trains will not halt at Vidyavihar, Kanjur Marg and Nahur stations on both the Up and Down lines. All Up and Down line services leaving or arriving at CSMT between 11 am and 5 pm are expected to run around 15 minutes late. On the Harbour Line, the block will be carried out on the CSMT–Chunabhatti/Bandra Down Harbour line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm and on the Chunabhatti/Bandra–CSMT Up Harbour line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm. Special services will operate between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8) at a frequency of 20 minutes during the block period. Harbour Line passengers will also be allowed to travel via the Main Line and Western Railway until 6 pm today.
