U.S Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent defends extending temporary sanctions relief on Russian and Iranian oil during a Senate Appropriations financial services subcommittee hearing on budget. "If we had not done that sanctions relief, they might have been at $150," he says, as the administration balances pressure on Moscow with concerns over global energy price. He was grilled by Senate democrat Chris Coons about sanctions relief for Russian oil and consumer costs in the United States. Watch.
