What is e‑Aadhaar?
e-Aadhaar is a password-protected PDF version of your Aadhaar card. The e-Aadhaar is a digitally signed by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). It contains equal validity as the physical Aadhaar card and can be used as a proof of identity across the country. The e-Aadhaar consists of all the important details such as Aadhaar number, demographic details, photo, and a QR code for instant verification.

Here’s how you can download e-Aadhaar
Option 1: UIDAI website1. Go to the UIDAI portal.
2. Now click on the option of Download Aadhaar.
3. After this, enter your Aadhaar number, Enrolment ID (EID), or Virtual ID (VID).
4. Once done enter the captcha code.
5. Now click send OTP option (sent to your registered mobile number).
6. Finally, enter the OTP and download your e‑Aadhaar PDF.
Option 2: mAadhaar app1. Download the mAadhaar app from Google Play or Apple App Store.
2. Log in with your Aadhaar details.
3. Select Download Aadhaar.
4. Authenticate with OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
