Vikram Doraiswami appointed India’s next Ambassador to China

NEW DELHI: Vikram K Doraiswami has been appointed as India’s next Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, the ministry of external affairs (MEA) announced on Thursday. Doraiswami, a 1992-batch Indian Foreign Service officer, is currently serving as India’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom. According to the MEA, he is “expected to take up the assignment shortly.”
