5, including 3 children, found dead at rented house in Kerala
KOCHI: Five people, including three children, were found dead at a rented house on Saturday in Kochi, police said.According to officials, the deceased included two women and three children from Thiruvananthapuram who had been staying in a rented house in Vaduthala for the past few months while undergoing treatment at a nearby private hospital.The two women have been identified as Kanakalatha and her daughter Aswathy. The three children were Aswathy’s children.Officials at the Ernakulam North Police Station said the family had not been seen outside their house since Friday, following which the house owner checked the premises and found all five dead.Police said an investigation has been launched and efforts are underway to ascertain further details.Officials suspect that the adults may have killed the children before taking their own lives.Teams are working to contact the relatives of the deceased and initiate inquest proceedings.
