Congress candidate Sashi Kanta Das won the seat with 89,511 votes. Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Bishnu Das finished second with 76,453 votes, losing by a margin of 13,058 votes.In the 2016 Assembly elections, Raha had 1,89,298 electors, with 1,61,627 valid votes recorded. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Dimbeswar Das won the seat with 76,941 votes, defeating Congress candidate Sashi Kanta Das, who secured 43,867 votes. The victory margin was 33,074 votes.
