Joypur election results 2026: BJP’s Biswajit Mahato defeats TMC’s Arjun Mahato in West Bengal

In the 2026 West Bengal Assembly election for Joypur (241), Biswajit Mahato of the Bharatiya Janata Party won with 1,04,668 votes, defeating All India Trinamool Congress candidate Arjun Mahato, who secured 82,450 votes. The BJP registered a margin of 22,218 votes in the constituency. Congress candidate Phanibhushan Kumar finished third with 23,263 votes, while other parties and independents remained well behind. NOTA accounted for 3,239 votes.Joypur (constituency no. 241) is located in the western part of Purulia district, bordering Jharkhand, and is part of the Purulia Lok Sabha constituency.
