Kaliabor Assembly Constituency
Kaliabor Assembly constituency is a general seat located in Nagaon district of Assam. Following the 2023 delimitation exercise, it is now part of the Kaziranga Parliamentary constituency. Earlier, it was under the Kaliabor Lok Sabha seat.
In the 2021 Assam Assembly elections, the constituency had 1,47,083 registered voters, with 1,24,746 valid votes cast. Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) candidate Keshab Mahanta won the seat with 73,677 votes.
Congress candidate Prasanta Kumar Saikia finished second with 44,957 votes, losing by a margin of 28,720 votes.
In the 2016 Assembly elections, Kaliabor had 1,21,467 electors, with 1,04,407 valid votes recorded.
AGP candidate Keshab Mahanta won the seat with 64,759 votes, defeating Congress candidate Bindu Ganju, who secured 26,769 votes. The victory margin was 37,990 votes.
According to the final electoral roll for the 2026 Assembly elections, Kaliabor has 1,88,982 eligible voters, an increase of 4,990 from 1,83,992 voters in 2024. The 2023 delimitation exercise added 41,541 voters to the 2021 tally of 1,42,451, mainly due to the inclusion of new villages.
Voter numbers in the constituency have steadily increased over the years, with 1,35,760 voters in 2019, 1,18,211 in 2016, and 1,13,202 in 2011.
