The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released the topper list for the WB HS Result 2026 along with the declaration of the Higher Secondary examination results. This year, 64 students secured positions in the top 10 merit list, including 56 boys and 8 girlsAdrito Paul from Narendrapur Ramkrishna Mission secured the first rank in the state by scoring 496 out of 500 marks. The student recorded 99.2 per cent in the Higher Secondary examinations.

The second rank was jointly secured by Jishnu Kundu and Ritoproto Nath. Both students scored 495 marks and recorded 99 per cent.Five students jointly secured the third rank in the WB HS Result 2026 merit list. These include Debapriya Majhi, Tonmoy Mandal, Soumya Roy, Shubhayun Mondol and Pritam Ballabh. All of them scored 98.8 per cent marks in the examinations.The fifth rank was shared by Singchan Nandi, Choudhary Mohammad Asim, Indrajeet Ghosh and Soumitra Karan. Singchan Nandi scored 691 marks and recorded 98.71 per cent.

According to the board, four students from Kolkata featured in the top 10 this year. The merit list was announced during the official press conference held on May 14 along with the overall pass percentage and district-wise performance data.The WBCHSE recorded an overall pass percentage of 91.2 per cent this year, with more than 5.71 lakh students clearing the Higher Secondary examinations.
