Dr PV Lakshmaiah is Andhra Pradesh state veterinary council new chairman
VIJAYAWADA: Renowned educationist, Dr PV Lakshmaiah has been elected as chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Veterinary Council (APSVC) in the general body meeting conducted in the office of AP state veterinary council on Monday.APSVC is the statutory body to regulate veterinary practice in the state. Director of animal husbandry, Dr Damodar Naidu and vice chancellor of Sri Venkateswara veterinary university, Tirupati Dr.Ramana, and register of veterinary council, Dr Eswar attended the council meeting. The elected members of the veterinary council, Dr Lokesh, Dr Swamy Babu, Dr Rajasheker and Dr Ramasubba Reddy proposed and unanimously elected Dr PV Lakshmaiah as chairman of the state veterinary council.The council will have four nominated and four elected members along with three ex-officio members. Dr Lakshmaiah was recently nominated to the veterinary council as member and finally elected as chairman. Dr Lakshmaiah is known as mentor of several All India Service (AIS) officers including IAS as he has been heading a reputed civil services coaching institute in AP and Telangana.
