Vijayawada: As part of the austerity measures initiated by the govt, the TDP leadership has decided to hold its annual conclave, Mahanadu, in a hybrid format at the party’s central office in Mangalagiri on May 27 and 28. The event was initially planned to be held for three days, including a final day public meeting, in Nellore.
Under the revised arrangement, the meetings will be conducted physically at the party headquarters, while leaders and cadres from districts will participate through virtual mode. Politburo members, central committee members, state committee members, and official spokespersons will attend the Mahanadu in person at the party office. MLAs, MLCs, ministers, MPs, and party workers from constituencies will take part online.
The party is also making arrangements for participation in 1,848 clusters, enabling leaders and workers to join the sessions virtually from their respective cluster locations.
Despite the change in format, the event will follow the standard Mahanadu procedures, including passing resolutions and other agenda items, with all decisions to be taken in line with established party practices, said sources.
