AP POLYCET 2026 results out with record participation, 91.37% pass
Vijayawada: The results of the Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (POLYCET) 2026 were declared on Tuesday at Mangalagiri, with the examination recording its highest-ever participation and an impressive overall pass percentage.A total of 1,77,581 candidates registered for the test, of whom 1,63,008 appeared, over 23,000 more than last year. Of those who took the examination held on April 25, as many as 1,48,950 candidates qualified, pushing the overall pass percentage to 91.37%.Girls outperformed boys once again, recording a pass percentage of 93.57%, compared to 89.88% among boys.Among districts, Alluri Sitharama Raju topped the list with a pass percentage of 99.11%, followed by Polavaram (95.46%) and Prakasam (94.72%). The strong performance from tribal and agency areas indicates improved access to education in remote regions, officials said.Candidates can access their results on the official website and through the state's WhatsApp-based governance service by sending a message to 9552300009 using their hall ticket number.For the 2026–27 academic year, around 84,000 seats are available across 265 polytechnic institutions in the state, including 87 government and 178 private colleges. With 1,48,950 candidates qualifying, competition for admissions is expected to be intense.The schedule for web counselling will be announced shortly by the POLYCET convenor.
