Fire breaks out at biryani shop in Maharashtra's Palava City

DOMBIVLI: A fire broke out at a biryani shop in Palava City, Dombivli, early Tuesday morning. The shop was closed at the time, no casualties were reported.According to the fire department, the blaze erupted around 7 am at KGN Biryani Shop on Kalyan-Shil Road.Chief fire officer of the Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation, Namdev Chaudhary, said fire teams rushed to the spot immediately after receiving the alert and managed to douse the flames quickly.Chaudhary added that while the exact cause of the fire is yet to be confirmed, it is suspected to have been triggered by a short circuit, as electric wires were seen sparking at the time.The shop, which had a tin-sheet shed, was badly damaged in the fire.
