Notorious Bike Thief Arrested in Chatra: Two Stolen Bikes Recovered

Chatra: Acting on a tip-off, Hunterganj police have arrested a notorious bike thief, Lakshman Kumar (23) from the Karma-Pandepura area during a vehicle checking drive on Tuesday and recovered two stolen bikes, and a mobile phone from him.At a press conference on Wednesday, SDPO Sandeep Suman said that he attempted to flee during the vehicle checking drive but was chased and apprehended by the team led by Hunterganj OC Prabhat Kumar. “When asked for documents, he admitted that the motorcycle was stolen. On his disclosure, police recovered another stolen bike and the dickey of a bike from Hunterganj. The accused was involved in vehicle thefts in the border areas of Jharkhand and Bihar and previously served jail time in Bihar in similar cases," he said.
