Wrestling star Odyssey Jones filed subpoenas for WWE, police, and social media records in lawsuit against ex-girlfriend

Odyssey Jones, formerly of WWE, subpoenaed WWE records in August 2025 as part of his lawsuit against ex-girlfriend Meileth Nunez, who accused him of assault in 2024. Jones seeks over $100,000 in damages for slander, alleging Nunez's statements led to his WWE release. WWE was required to submit relevant documents by September 30, 2025, potentially bolstering Jones's case.

The legal drama between former WWE star Odyssey Jones and his ex-girlfriend Meileth Nunez has been going on for almost a year. Back in 2024, Nunez accused Jones, whose real name is Omari Palmer, of physical assault. She said that following an argument over some text messages, he slammed her onto the ground and even threw things at her. This led to a lot of backlash, including his release from the company a few months later. Then, earlier this year, Palmer filed a lawsuit against his ex-girlfriend, and now we have more information on that.

Odyssey Jones subpoenaed WWE records for his lawsuit

As revealed by Ringside news, on August 5, 2025, Odyssey Jones filed a subpoena asking WWE and its parent company, TKO Holdings, to turn over documents and records pertaining to the allegations his ex-girlfriend, Meileth Nunez, made against him. The documents he asked for include his employment and firing record, any internal investigations between May and July 2024, the company's communication with the media about the situation, and any correspondence about him that directly mentions Meileth Nunez.
The deadline for WWE to hand over the records was set for September 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM. And most likely, the company has handed over the documents he asked for, as on September 30 itself, Palmer himself submitted a mandatory disclosure, which details the evidence he already has in his possession.

Omari Palmer could shift the tide of this lawsuit with WWE's help

In January 2025, quite a few months after Meileth Nunez accused him of physical assault and WWE decided to let him go, Omari Palmer made his first public statement on the matter. “I apologize for taking so long to address these false claims, but I had to patiently wait to get an injunction set in place to protect my family, my friends, and myself.”
He also thanked WWE, despite the company terminating his contract, saying they made him into who he was. And now, it seems like with all the records that have been submitted by the company, Palmer's lawsuit has gained substantial momentum. His lawsuit alleges that Nunez’s statements directly led to Palmer’s WWE release in September 2024 and the wrestler is now seeking over $100,000 in damages for slander. Also Read: "You have to have trust"- WWE star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson spills the beans on relationship with Hollywood co-star
