Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary blamed the Congress party for the current unrest in Nepal. He said, “This anarchy is due to Congress keeping these countries separate. If Nepal had been part of India, there would have been peace and happiness.” Choudhary further added that both Nepal and Pakistan could have prospered along with India if they hadn’t been separated. He called the situation a result of historical mistakes made by Congress. His comments come as Nepal faces violent anti-corruption protests, with demonstrators attacking homes of political leaders. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has resigned, and the India-Nepal border at Jogbani in Bihar’s Araria district is now on high alert due to escalating tensions.
