Ranchi: Ranchi will witness a grand cultural showcase under the Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) programme at the State Museum Auditorium on Monday evening.Organised by the Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC) in collaboration with Jharkhand’s Department of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sports & Youth Affairs, the event will highlight folk and classical traditions of Jharkhand alongside performances from Goa, with which the state has been paired this year. Both the Governors of Jharkhand and West Bengal will be attending the event. From Jharkhand, troupes will present Saraikela Chhau, Jhumur, Kodsa, and Domkach dances, while Goan artistes will perform Dekhni and Samai dances.Classical choreographic pieces and handicraft displays from both states are also scheduled. Around 80 artists and artisans are expected to take part.“This is not about a token celebration but about real exchange. Jharkhand’s Domkach and Chhau carry centuries of tradition, and placing them alongside Goan dance forms allows audiences to see how diverse cultures speak to each other,” said EZCC Director Ashis Giri.
