Bollywood star becomes WWE megastar Cody Rhodes’ “New best friend” on the sets of The Street Fighter

Cody Rhodes has been absent from WWE television programming for a few weeks. He was assaulted by Drew McIntyre on SmackDown to write him off television so that he could head to Australia to begin filming for his role for the upcoming live-action version of 'The Street Fighter.' The movie will feature an ensemble cast of top stars, including a renowned face from Bollywood, who was recently seen with the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion.Cody Rhodes took to his Instagram stories to drop a photo with popular Bollywood actor Jammwal. He captioned the photo, calling Jammwal his "New best friend." Rhodes was in his typical suit look, while Jammwal had a similar yet casual suit look.Rhodes also put stickers from The Street Fighter and mentioned the production house, Legendary, and Paramount Films, which confirmed that the duo had been hanging out amidst the shooting of the movie in Sydney, Australia. The American Nightmare is set to essay the role of Guilie, while the Bollywood sensation will play the role of Dhalsim. Furthermore, they would be joined by another top WWE superstar, Roman Reigns, who will essay the role of Akuma, with the film set to release on October 16, 2026.Cody Rhodes has been on a hiatus since being attacked by Drew McIntyre on SmackDown a few weeks ago. Since his absence from television, McIntyre has been taking shots at the Undisputed WWE Champion. Moreover, it was reported that the plan was a title match between the two at the upcoming WWE Wrestlepalooza event. However, a new report by the Wrestling Observer has stated that WWE might change their plans and go with a match between Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre. The duo have been involved in altercations in recent weeks, so that plan is looking to likely be the match for the ESPN debut Premium Live Event for the Stamford-based promotion.
